Emergency College Payback help!

How many of you went to college in hopes of making a better life for yourself one day? How many of you have graduated from college within the last 5 years, and still can not pay back those student loans? How many of you have been looking for a job since you crossed that stage? How many of you are not being paid a salary, or if you are being paid salary, it is not enough to survive on or pay your bills? Well if your answer was "Yes" to the majority of these questions then you will agree it is time to take a stance on the matter at hand.

Today on the news I heard Obama say that if he wins he will make college more affordable for those who want to attend.

I think a new process should be forced into action. I think that anyone who wants to attend college should be required to take their prerequisite courses at a community college before beginning a 4 year or 2 year college/ University. This way those who are not studying for the right reason can be weeded out. Those who attended college just to play sports, but never pass any exam will be highlighted. Those who received scholarships should be required to work a contracted job in their field where they must show appreciation for the scholarship.

George Bush's education budget cuts from 2006 provided more funds for wealthier students, while taking educational opportunities and assistance away from poor, disabled and immigrant students. Just like all of Mr. Bush's other domestic spending plans.
Some of the education programs Mr. Bush has slated to kill are:
- Javits Gifted and Talented meets special needs of gifted students who are disabled, economically disadvantaged and limited English proficient
- Star Schools improved instruction in math, science and foreign language for disadvantaged, illiterate and disabled students
- Community Technology Centers creates technology centers for disadvantaged students in economically distressed areas to provide access to the internet and technology
- Upward Bound provides support to high schoolers from low-income families and low-income first-generation military veterans to succeed in pre-college performance.
- Talent Search increase number of youth from disadvantaged backgrounds to complete high school and attend college
-All vocational education at the high school level
- Dropout Prevention
- Safe and Drug-Free Schools includes the wildly successful DARE program
- Civic Education
- Women's Educational Equity
- Elementary and High School Counseling
- Parental Information & Resource Centers assists parents whose children attend schools identified for improvements or corrections under No Child Left Behind to help their students to meet state and local academic standards
And every education program named after a Democrat:
- Thurgood Marshall Legal Educational Opportunity intended to increase the number of students from low-come and minority backgrounds in law school; named after the first African-American Supreme Court Justice.
- BJ Stupak Olympic Scholarship named after the deceased son of Congressman Bart Stupak (D-Michigan)
And especially....the 20-year old pride and joy, and legacy, of Senator Robert C. Byrd, a member of Congress since 1953 and vocal Bush critic: the Robert C. Byrd Scholarship Program, the only national, merit-based scholarship program funded through the Department of Education.
Oops....formerly funded, if President Bush has his way. He proposed no cuts in programs named after Republicans.

What is the current or new president going to do to aid and ensure that those of us who want to actually pay the government back do so without any additional hardships? I would appreciate it if you and your other educated friends comment on this issue through my blog spot.
The next process will be forwarding student profiles to the government to get assistance from the president himself.

There is however, one thing to think about. The people who are guaranteed good paying jobs before any other major are those who majored in; medical, technology, Accounting, or digital fields. What about those of us who majored in Mass Communications, Broadcast Communications, Arts Management, Music Business, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism.

If a recent grad student is applying for an entry level position then they should be paid entry level pay which is about $10/hr or $30,000/year.
Have you ever checked to see what you were worth? Did you go to college for 10 years just to be paid minimum wage? I agree, we as Americans are extremely picky, but those of us who are educated deserve to be treated as educated professionals.
If the government is going to give us money to educate ourselves who not offer us government jobs once we have finished college. Why not keep our names on file so that we get first dibs on a position for which we qualify.
